In the course of the company's 100-year history, the traditional, owner-managed enterprise has developed into one of the leading manufacturers of technical springs, stamping parts and bent parts.
Wilhelm Becker, a locksmith from Mettmann founds Wilhelm Becker Gmbh & Co. KG.
His son Wilhelm Becker junior takes over the family business. The production programme is extended considerably and in-house toolmaking is established under his leadership.
His son-in-law Hanns Otto takes over the management of the company.
Dr. Hanns-Günter Otto succeeds his father in managing the company and expands the production area over the following years. Under his leadership the company turns into one of the main suppliers to the automotive and garage door industry. In the years to follow the company experiences continuous growth, the workforce expands and turnover increases steadily.
The company relocates to new, state-of-the-art premises with a production area of more than 10,000 square metres.
The company is certified in alignment with DIN EN ISO 9001 which is later upgraded in accordance with VDA 6.1.
The Quality management system is organized following DIN ISO/TS16949 (RWTÜV GmbH) guidelines.
Expansion of the production area by another 3,500 square metres.
The warehouse and logistics area is being enlarged by 1000 square metres.
